Age Groups
Cincy Royals Girls Lacrosse intends to sponsor 2 teams for each: K-2, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th grade. As in past years, we will compete against teams from Anderson, Indian Hill, Loveland, Madeira, Mariemont, Mason, Miamisburg, Milford, Springboro, Sycamore, Terrace Park, and Wyoming; to name a few.

K-2nd Grade
The teams at this level are instructional, where players will be asked to try all positions and enjoy roughly equal playing time. Our goal is to introduce the girls to the sport and teach them the basic skills associated with lacrosse: catching, throwing, shooting, and one-on-one defense. While this level is "instructional", the girls will play a 10 game season; generally played on Saturdays. To increase touches, we play with 8 girls on a shortened field and will schedule 2 teams in order to provide adequate playing time.
5th/6th Grade
The teams at this level will have both an "instructional" and "competitive" team. Having 2 teams will allow us to welcome new players at this age level and provide an enjoyable playing experience for all. Both teams will play a 10 game season; generally played on Saturdays.
3rd/4th Grade

7th/8th Grade
Depending upon enrollment at this age level, we are hoping to have 2 teams. If we are able to have 2 teams, we will have both an "instructional" and "competitive" team. Having 2 teams will allow us to welcome new players at this age level and provide an enjoyable playing experience for all. Both teams will play a 12-14 game season; the games are played during the week.
One thing to note that is new this year for 7th and 8th graders, if your daughter's school has a lacrosse program your daughter will have to play for the program affiliated with their school and not for Cincy Royals Girls Lacrosse. Examples of some of these programs are Summit Country Day, Walnut Hills, and Seven Hills. If you are not sure and want to clarify, please feel free to reach out.
